Noo! Don't turn me into a marketable plushie! Welcome to this beginner's guide on how to make those popular 20cm plush dolls! Through this panel, attendees will be able to get a start on how to make their own plushies at home so that they can turn their favorite character into a cute plushie! This panel will be in a slideshow format with live embroidery demonstration using an embroidery machine! Attendees will also be able to obtain a booklet that reviews and sums up what was discussed in the panel. This panel will discuss tools needed, where to get materials, the steps needed, and how to get started. (Please note that attendees will not be sewing or creating anything due to time constraints.)

In addition, Yasmeen will raise awareness about cervical cancer and prevention methods, while also discussing the transformative impact cosplaying has had on her life. In this panel, we will discuss how to be safe when attending conventions (cons). We will also discuss con etiquette, such as the do’s & don’ts of attending cons or events, whether it’s behavior or interacting with others.
In recent years at cons, many have been lacking in proper manners & etiquette. Some have trouble respecting other people’s space. There is also cyberbullying along with calling out & “canceling” people, which forms the main part of “cancel culture.” We will discuss tips on how to stay safe, such as how to stay away from trouble & discuss what you should do if you become a victim of bullying, if you get “roofied,” or if you notice anything or anyone suspicious. We will also discuss proper conduct & how to respect people & their boundaries.
